My first landscape – It took a little while, I completely admit it’s far from perfect and it’s a touch amateur but it’s a first and everyone’s a noob at one point. I’ve always been a big fan of landscape and environmental art, maybe because it’s something far from my character/creature style,  and I’ve always been in complete awe at the simple brush strokes that can define a forest and the natural understanding of light and perspective that I haven’t grasped yet. I’d like to paint another landscape soon, maybe some Daedonas village but I’ll turn back to some character art before then.  So here’s the painting, it’s dedicated to my grandfather – who is a wonderfully talented acrylic/oil painter himself and where I think I got 90% of my natural skill -  every time he saw me drawing skeletons, demons, aliens and cyborgs as a kid he’d always tell me to paint something nice, we’ll it’s been 23 years and I finally did a sunrise (now back to skeletons, demons, aliens and cyborgs haha)
