I thought it was the living saint from warhammer 40k, but it isn’t, is it?
I produce art by myself so i’m interested in good artwork.
However you’re art looks pretty good. I’d like to see a Chaos Spacemarine drawn by you.
I’m a real fan of the artwork behind Warhammer, especially Adrian Smith’s work. So I guess i would say this isn’t warhammer fanart…but has some heavy influence. Thanks for the comment, drawing a chaos space marine does sound like a good idea with all it’s baroque armor and grisly trophies…hmmm
Right, his are my favourites, too. I like the epic shine which his art emits. It looks like the tableaus at the ceilings of some old churches.
Unfortunately I worked only with pencil. But more and more I think I am at the end of this technique and I allways wondered which collours were used on paintings like yours. But the way it looks it cannot be colloured by using a computer . Oil would be to plastic, to get such a good picture of the paintings on the computer? But the collour also looks too solid to come from a crayon =/.
I am very interested in drawing with thouse fabulous collour-shade effects. May I ask what’s it’s secret ?:-)
Good to know pencils are your best, same with me. It’s pretty easy to get them coloured: First I scan my pencil work and in photoshop I turn my pencil layer into a multiply layer which perserves only the darks of the pencil work, from there I just paint on a layer underneath which colours everything smoothly.
The mediums I use for the majority of my work are graphite and digital. All the work here except the birdman on top are first sketched out, then scanned and coloured in photoshop.
Hey Terry,
Nice work.
Keep up the great work!
You have incredible talent.
